It just wouldn't be fair
Eloway(as I will shorten it) can't be the only one who gets to show all of you how much fun we had this weekend. So I am going to add a couple of more pictures, hopefully different from his. Since those are all my pictures anyways.
I would just like to say that this was trip of the year right here. Nuttin could have been better, not the car ride, the food, the preachin, the singin, the beach, Starbucks, toll booth games, jammin out to our theme song : ). It was all so so good! I hope all of you get to come with us next year because oh yes, we are going back. By the way, we like feet. We don't know why? Maybe someone can help us with that one. Interesting to say the least.

How cool is that?!? I used to watch The X-Files with my dad. I loved that show. So, I had a feeling this thing would say that that is exactly where I belong in the Sci-Fi scheme of things.

You scored as FBI's X-Files Division (The X-Files). You are part of a super secret section of the FBI. You also have the very cool status of Special Agent. You believe in many conspiracies and know the government is covering up way too much. Now if only you could the Cigarette Smoking Man to stop providing you with the second-hand smoke. |

"Hammer, hammer hammer, Saw, saw, saw..."
Today I started volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. I have a class this semester that requires a community service component, and since I've always wanted to work with Habitat for Humanity, I put that as my first choice.
Now...other than the work done around the house...I haven't done much construction. I've painted alot. I've torn down wallpaper. I've landscaped pretty often. But, constructed a house...never. So, today I started learning.
I think both the houses I was working on today were houses that weren't built by Habitat, but we were re-doing them. First, I put foam on the edges of the roof from the inside - so that air has a pathway even after we put the insulation in (in the attic). For that, I used a STAPLE GUN. (And a RAZOR BLADE...to cut the foam when it wouldn't fit.) Afterwards, we started framing a closet. I used a HAMMER, though not very successfully the first time. (I was much better nailing down, than sideways.) I learned what a TOENAIL was - nailing at an angle. And, finally, I used a POWERSAW! It was very exciting.
I can already tell that my right arm is going to be very sore tomorrow. But, I will have some good muscles by the time this semester is over. It feels so good to be doing something helpful, and getting outside and working at the same time.
